Information That We Collect: In order to utilize the Service, including for example, to create an account, submit an application for a lease or purchase of a home, or make a purchase you may be asked to provide, certain Personal Information about yourself, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, residence history, social security number, payment information, employment history, income history, tax information, bank account information, bank statements, and other information related to real estate transactions ("Personal Information"). We do not collect Personal Information about you unless you voluntarily submit or authorize such information to be provided to us.
In addition, we may also collect non-Personal Information, such as IP host addresses, web pages viewed, browser type, referring pages, usage and browsing habits and similar data, and may aggregate Personal Information in a manner which does not identify any individual ("Aggregate Information").
Information Usage, Disclosure and Recipients: By providing Personal Information on the Service, you consent to receive information and updates regarding our services or those of our partners. Clickstream Data: As you use the Internet, a trail of electronic information is left at each web site you visit. This information, which is sometimes referred to as “clickstream data,” can be collected and stored by a web site’s server. Clickstream data can tell us the type of device and browsing software you use and the address of the web site from which you linked to the Service. We may collect and use clickstream data to anonymously determine how much time visitors spend on websites, how visitors navigate throughout websites and how we may tailor our Service to better meet consumer needs. This information will be used to improve our Service. Any collection or use of clickstream data will be anonymous, and will not intentionally contain any Personal Information.
Security and Data Retention: We have undertaken and will undertake commercially reasonable efforts designed to prevent unauthorized access to user data retained in our servers, however, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information provided online. We will retain your information for as long as your account or inquiry is active or as needed to provide you with the Service and for a reasonable time thereafter in accordance with our standard procedures or as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Any data entered into BoardPackager prior to submission is still within BoardPackager purview, and can be manually deleted by the User or upon written request. Even if we delete some or all of your Personal Information, we may continue to retain and use aggregate or anonymous data previously collected and/or anonymize or aggregate your Personal Information. Please note that we will not be liable for disclosures of your data due to errors or unauthorized acts of third parties. Any data that is submitted voluntarily to Partners (and their affiliates) are the purview of the Partners (and their affiliates), and all requests related to data retention or deletion will have to be directed to those Partners (and their affiliates).
Data Retention by Partners and Users: All data provided by Users and submitted voluntarily to our Partners and their affiliates (when using BoardPackager) may have different retention policies due to government regulations or legal business obligations. BoardPackager cannot dictate these policies and cannot make exceptions without approval from these Partners. Each New York State business entity may be covered via a different law.
Brokerages, Property Management, NYS Licensed Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons are required to retain transaction data for a period of 3 years.
Cooperative Buildings have to keep correct and complete books and records of account at the office of the corporation or the office of its transfer agent (the property management). There are no legal limitations on data retention.
Condominium Buildings are allowed to collect and maintain with respect to deeds and leases, details which are applicable to all parties or set forth by By-Laws. There are no legal limitations on data retention.
